Personal sign-in controls are in My account → Security. Organization-wide authentication and session policies stay in Settings → Authentication & SSO.

Review and end sessions

The Sessions card shows your active sign-ins. End a particular session, sign out other sessions, or use Sign out everywhere when you need to revoke access broadly. Sensitive actions can ask you to verify your identity again. Ordinary sign-out ends the current session rather than signing out every device. Changing your password or removing a passkey ends other sessions and forgets remembered devices. Adding a new factor does not by itself sign out all your other sessions.

Inactivity and maximum lifetime

Your organization sets an inactivity limit and a maximum session lifetime. Activity can keep a session from going idle, but cannot extend it indefinitely beyond the maximum. Maximum-session options are 4, 8 or 12 hours; 12 hours is the platform cap. Tabs in the same browser share activity and refresh coordination, so an idle tab should not end a session you are actively using in another tab. When a session expires or is revoked, sign in again rather than repeatedly retrying a failed save. The home organization’s policy applies to MSP staff even while they are working in a managed client’s context.

Remember account versus remember device

Remember my account on this browser makes it easier to return to the same account. It does not provide a permanent signed-in session: resuming requires a passkey or password and any applicable MFA, and maximum-session limits still apply. An administrator can disallow remembering accounts across browser restarts. Remember this device can skip the ordinary second-factor prompt for 14 or 30 days when allowed by the organization. Administrators can disable it. It does not grant a fresh identity check for every sensitive action.

Recent identity checks

Factor and session-security actions can require verification within the last 15 minutes. Organization-administration actions, such as API-key permissions, webhook secrets or integration connections, can require verification within the last hour. Follow the prompt and return to the action; remaining signed in is not proof of a recent factor check. Vault authenticator codes require a recent Regentra passkey or authenticator check when enabled. A remembered-device shortcut or SSO sign-in alone does not satisfy that separate requirement.

A sign-in you do not recognize

A new-browser email includes the sign-in time, browser and IP address. Open My account → Security, end unfamiliar sessions and change your password if needed. Revoke unfamiliar trusted devices and keep your backup codes safe. Repeated staff-password failures produce increasing waits and eventually a longer lock. Use password recovery or contact support if you cannot sign in. Platform administrators have separate Sign-in Protection tools for account unlock and sign-in blocks; ordinary organization administrators do not gain those platform tools.
