Hudu is IT documentation software many MSPs already use to track client networks, VLANs, and IP assignments. Regentra can pull that network topology in — a one-way, one-time-or-repeatable import into the Networks & IPAM module, not a live sync.
This is a one-way import: Regentra reads from Hudu, it never writes back. Nothing you do in Regentra changes your Hudu documentation.
Hudu is being enabled for self-serve connection in an upcoming release. If your Settings → Integrations page still shows the Hudu card as “Coming Soon,” ask your Regentra contact to enable it for your organization in the meantime.

What gets imported

Notes fields ARE imported, but every imported note is scanned for credential-shaped text (API keys, passwords, connection strings) before it’s saved. Anything that looks like a secret is flagged so you can review and move it into the encrypted password vault instead of leaving it in plain text.

Connecting Hudu

1

Generate an API key in Hudu

In your Hudu instance, go to Admin → API, click Generate API Key, and copy it immediately.
2

Enter credentials in Regentra

Go to Settings → Integrations → Hudu and enter your Hudu URL (e.g. https://yourcompany.huducloud.com) and the API Key you generated.
3

Save

Save the credentials — the integration card shows Connected right away. Click Test Connection afterward to confirm Regentra can actually reach your Hudu instance.

Mapping Hudu companies to Regentra companies

Hudu organizes records under its own customer companies, which don’t automatically match your Regentra companies. Before anything imports, go to PSA → Networks → Import from Hudu and click Discover companies to pull the company list from Hudu, then map each one to an existing PSA company:
  • If Regentra finds an exact name match, the row offers a one-click Use <company name> button.
  • Otherwise, click Map and pick the matching company from the dropdown of your existing PSA clients.
  • Click Ignore to mark a company as skipped so its records are permanently excluded from every future import.
Regentra doesn’t create new PSA companies from this screen — only records belonging to a company mapped to an existing PSA client are ever imported. Records for a company you haven’t mapped are skipped, not imported to the wrong client — the import summary tells you which companies were skipped so nothing is silently lost.

Preview, then import

The import always runs in two steps:
1

Run preview

Click Run preview. Regentra reads your mapped Hudu companies’ networks, VLAN zones, VLANs, and IP addresses and shows you how many records would be created or updated, per record type — nothing is written yet.
2

Run import

Review the preview, then click Run import. Regentra creates or updates the records for real and shows a final summary: created, updated, and any errors per record type.

Re-running the import

You can run the import again at any time — for example, after you’ve documented a new client network in Hudu. Regentra matches each Hudu record against what it already imported, so re-running:
  • Updates a record whose Hudu details changed (a subnet resized, a VLAN renamed) instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Creates only genuinely new records.
  • Adopts a matching record you created manually or through a CSV import before you ever connected Hudu, rather than duplicating it — matched by company + subnet (for Networks), company + VLAN tag (for VLANs), or company + name (for VLAN Zones).

What’s never imported

  • Notes are sanitized, not filtered out — but any note flagged as containing credential-shaped text is called out in the import summary so you can move it to the password vault.
  • Hudu’s network “type” field has no standard values Regentra can map to a specific category yet, so every imported network lands with an Other type. The import summary lists the raw type values seen, so nothing is silently miscategorized without a trace.
  • IP address records with no company mapping, or that fail validation, are skipped and listed in the summary rather than imported incorrectly.

Disconnecting

Disconnect from the integration card at any time. Already-imported networks, VLANs, and IP addresses stay in Regentra — disconnecting only stops future imports; it doesn’t remove data you’ve already pulled in.
